If you're a wine and food enthusiast wanting to take a further, intensive step into the famous fresh ingredients and fabulous wines of south west France and northern Spain, then you'll love our 3 day/4 night gastronomic weekends. Combining gourmet meals - prepared and served by 2018 Masterchef finalist, Louisa Ellis, with the help of Come Cook in France's Louise Pickford - and matched with well-researched, vintage wines from our  cellar. There is also the option of spending a morning at a local marché, the largest in the area and famous for its truffle market; or simply relax in our beautiful grounds, sit by the pools, or go for a walk or cycle in the wonderful surrounding countryside.

World renowned for producing some of our greatest wines and foods Aquitaine is the perfect destination in which to enjoy a weekend eating, drinking and celebrating this region’s famed gastronomy and superior wines. Add to this stunning countryside, great local markets and small food producers, not to mention numerous illustrious vineyards, it really is a gourmand's paradise.

Over the three days and four nights there will be

  • Three 4-course feasts served complimented by the finest of fine wines

  • Two wine tastings - one vertical and one  horizontal

  • Visit to a local wine négocian

  • A morning visit to the largest open food marché in the area

  • local transport from Angouleme train station and Bergerac airport.

Combine this with Les Soeurs Anglaises’ superb accommodation and long experience of hospitality and the result is a delicious three-day small-group break – a Gourmet Food & Wine Experience indeed – nestled near the famous vineyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cognac.  And if the weather is fine, which it generally still is at this time of year, relax and unwind between meals.
